On her life narrative Lorrie writes: "Mine has been a checkered life, not noteworthy, but never uneventful."

"My only accomplishment being the raising of my six children, five sons and one daughter, to mature, responsible, adulthood, by accident rather than by design, some might surmise. Nonetheless, they are all good looking (at least in their mother's eyes), hard working, well-possessed of human kindness and very good to their mother. I have three adorable grandchildren, Elisa 11, Erica 8, and Dylan 2."

"Have not re-married and not living in 'Senior Citizen Sin', for the lack of opportunity rather than abiding virtue, perhaps."

"There have been reverses of fortune, but as a survivor of two heart attacks and a grade four cancer, I count my blessings every day. I have a crooked face (facial paralysis) and I smile a crooked smile, but I do smile. I was saddened at hearing of those of us 1951 Seventh Street Saints Grads  who have passed on."
